Lenny Rozen about the Coldplay concert he’ll never forget
I remember I really wanted to go to Coldplay’s concert at Wembley Stadium back in 2009. It was supposed to be a hug production and Jay-Z was also going to perform with them. I wanted a ticket so much, but couldn’t really afford it back then being a straggling student.
I decided I would list to every possible competition offering free tickets – radio stations, magazines, anything that was giving away tickets, I was there. The days to the concert grew fewer and I was getting anxious. I was starting to give up on my dream of going. I mean, it’s hard to believe that something you really want will come true just because you want it.
Two days before the concert I listen to a radio station that announced they were giving away 1 ticket to the person who can answer a few questions about coldplay. As a big fan, I knew I’d be able to answer just about anything they can ask. So I called and called and finally I went through. They asked me about 10 different questions and I answered them all. I remember shouting when they told me I got the ticket.
Other than the great time I’ve had, this experience thought me a valuable lesson that I carry with me till this day – if you want something really badly and you actively strive to get it, you have a really good chance of actually getting it. This has proven itself since over and over again in all aspects of my life.
